AMX1 Screenshots

Alarm Graphic Example
The screen below shows just one way in which an alarm can be presented to the user - a graphic depicting a smoke detector flashing red in fire. Graphics can be as simple or as complicated as you like - they can even use photographs. Graphics can easily be prepared in your favourite graphics editor or in AutoCAD, from where they can be exported to AMX1. Note how the large clear toolbar at the top of the screen allows a user to accept an alarm, switch views from text to graphic, initiate controls, etc.

Alarm Text Example
In the screen below the alarm information is presented as a text page. This example is quite simple; the text page is freely programmable using easy built-in text editing tool and it can be made much more complex. This is a popular way of presenting information in an environment such as a telephone switch-room where you just want to tell people a) What it is, b) Where it is, and c) What to do about it. AMX1 is very flexible: some alarms can display a graphic, some a text page, some both, etc.

Tiled Current Event List and Text Page
AMX1 maintains a list of current events in the system. This can be viewed at any time using the Events icon on the toolbar. A popular display format is to tile the Current Event List and the Text Page.

The AMX History
AMX1 has an extensive history, which records alarms, event, faults, and much other information. There are facilities to classify alarms and events, so that tests and false alarms can be distinguished and assessed. Notes may be attached to events in the history. The History search facilities may be used to compile reports based upon your criteria. These can be printed, or exported to a database or PDF document, of course.

Powerful Features for Advanced Users

AMX1 is very simple to use at the Operator level, where someone may just need to view and react to current alarms. However, below the surface is a raft of powerful features for the more advanced user, many accessed via familiar windows popup menus.

Each system user has their own User Profile, which specifies which parts of the program they can access. Therefore, more advanced features can he hidden for basic operators

It is this blend of easy operation and advanced functionality that makes AMX1 such a powerful alarm management system.
